Lessons From the One Room School House

While at the Wall Street Journal site this afternoon the article “Lessons From The One Room School House” by Sue Shellenbarger caught my attention. It’s not the article I expected to see at the Journal, but it speaks honestly about some of the benefits (and there are many) of the one room school house and some of the drawbacks (and there are many).

I wonder what urban Christian schools like mine might learn from such schools? Is it possible to take advantage of those practices of those things that are a benefit and avoid the drawbacks?
